Maintenance Requirements
To maintain warranty coverage, the film must be properly cared for throughout the warranty period.
- Do not wash the vehicle for the first 7 days after installation of the film to allow the film time to cure.
- Wash the vehicle regularly using a pH-balanced automotive shampoo and a soft wash mitt or microfiber towel.
- Rinse off dirt, road salt, bird droppings, tree sap, bug residue, fuel, and other contaminants as soon as possible.
- Avoid automatic car washes with abrasive brushes, harsh chemicals, or high-pressure equipment directed at the film edges. If high-pressure washing is used, the spray must be kept at least 2 feet away from seams and edges and applied at a 45-degree angle.
- Use only Bear PPF-approved or otherwise non-abrasive cleaning and maintenance products.
- Do not use abrasive compounds, cutting polishes, solvent-based cleaners, waxes, sealants, or ceramic products not approved for use on the film.
